He teaches Psychology,and Social studies.
Mr. Balius like sponsoring Interact because the students inspire him by their devotion to make the communitiy and world better.

The Avoyelles High Interact club is hosting "Coats For Kids" which collects and donates Old and New Coats for underprivileged children.

There will be two boxes on campus, one in the Senior Academy for high school and the other in the gym for the Middle School that you can drop your old coats/jackets in. PLEASE donate to support the cause.

At the October 2011 Meeting
The Interact Club discussed having a bake sale on October 10-11 in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Also they discussed a "Talent Show" which more information will be coming soon.

On Saturday October.15,2011 The Avoyelles High Interact Club will be taking part In the Susan B. Komen Walk/Run For Breast Cancer.The walk/run will be held in Alexandria La. for more information see Mr. Scott Balius.

There will be 3 blood drives this school year:

The next Blood Drive will be Thursday January.12,2012.

The first Blood Drive was Monday September.19,2012If AHS gets enough people to participate we will qualify for 1 scholarship.

*If you are planning to give blood please make sure to eat a good breakfast and drink plenty of water.

There is a Canned Food Drive going on Right now; so please donate all varieties of canned food to families in need.There will be boxes in every class were you can donate.
