1) Focus Louisiana program at Tulane University is offering Louisiana Week for juniors and sophmores an opportunity to spend one day on campus during the week of February 13-17. Registration online at http://tinyurl.com/TULousianaWeek turn in registration by February 6th to Ms. Sam.
2) Dr. Aura-Lee A. Pittenger and James Hobbs Pittenger American History Scholarship by DAR-$2,000 each year for concentrated study of 24 credit hours in American History or government. Due by Feb. 15th. http://www.dar.org/
3) Lillian and Arthur Dunn Scholarship- $2,000 for well qualified deserving sons and daughters of NSDAR members Due Feb. 15th. http://www.dar.org/
4) Farm Bureau Scholarship, $500 local scholarship, in Ms. Sam's office, due Feb. 29th.
5) Louisiana College Goal Sunday on February 26th, 2012 form 2-4pm at LSUA.
6) Buick Achievers Scholarship Program up to $25,000 per year for majors in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or Design www.buikachievers.com. deadline is February 29th.
7) Louisiana Lions Camp is hiring junior/senior counselors for Mentally and Physically Challenged summer Camp. Scholarships are awarded at the end of camp to college-bound students. Information available at www.lionscamp.org
8) Ongoing scholarship email alerts from websites: www.fastweb.com, www.zinch.com, www.cappex.com, www.finaid.com, www.scholarships.com, www.meritaid.com.
9) Any female student in the 9th, 10th, 11th grader interested in attending Louisiana Girls Leadership Academy at Nicholls State University form June 10-13, 2012 needs to submit information to Ms. Sam before Feb. 20th. Information is available at www.nicholls.edu/continuing-ed/LGLA
